LIKE Innovation Lab

Lab for Innovation, Knowledge and Exchange

“I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work.”

― Thomas A. Edison

LIKE is a very informal meeting place (once or twice a month) for librarians to share ideas and knowledge, and to exchange information on leading practices, visited fora, etc. We have an incubator of ideas and when they mature enough, we share and discuss them with other colleagues and users.

LIKE is also a forum to share impressions from conferences, library visits, web courses, workshops and acquired knowledge.

As the user experience (UX) is very important for us, we invite researchers to share their expectations with the library, or to comment on the topics discussed. Quite successfully, we also organize brainstorming sessions with our users to discuss library services and collection. Brainstorming ideas become our blueprint for further development.

Depending on the topics, we also invite our IT colleagues when more technical issues are to be discussed.

In order to follow the best practices, the library will invite leading librarians, information managers and innovators in all field to share skills and experiences.

You can see our current projects as well as already implemented ideas. Your comments are very much appreciated.

LIKE Kick-off meeting was held on Thursday, 25 February 2016.
