12 November 2014

On the second evening of his official state visit to Luxembourg, Federal President Gauck and his spouse Daniela Schadt held a gala dinner in the Cercle Cité.

In his speech in presence of representatives from public life in Luxembourg Gauck said the founding of the first Max Planck Institute on legal matters outside Germany was a sign of the close cooperation between the two countries in the area of research and education. "A Max Planck Institute for International Regulatory Procedural Law couldn’t enjoy a better location than here in Luxembourg, the centre of European jurisdiction", he said.
