Max Planck Institute Luxembourg on SSRN
The MPI Luxembourg is proud to announce the launch of its Research Paper Series on SSRN’s eLibrary. The series gathers preprints as well as intermediary research reports in the field of procedural law. All manuscripts may be downloaded by individuals, for their own use, subject to the ordinary copyright rules.
SSRN (Social Science Research Network) is a website that aims to give open access to ‘tomorrow’s research today’ through scholarly collaboration networks specialised in social sciences and humanities. The MPI Luxembourg is delighted to join the Legal Scholarship Network, hoping to advance knowledge in procedural law and enhance the dissemination of its scientific findings.
The ‘MPI Luxembourg for Procedural Law Research Paper Series’ compiles pre-publication versions of academic articles, book chapters, or reviews as well as intermediary research reports on various legal issues. It is launching with two manuscripts: Standard of Review (Investment Arbitration) by Joshua Paine, and The Unsuitability of the Lugano Convention (2007) to Serve as a Bridge between the UK and the EU after Brexit by Prof. Burkhard Hess.
The series will actively grow its content throughout 2018 and the years ahead. Although the papers included on SSRN begin in 2018, note that all previous contributions can be found on our website. Since 2013, a total number of 24 research papers on a wide range of topics as different as international crimes tribunals, investment arbitration and the Benelux Court of Justice have been released.
The quality of the research papers is guaranteed by a rigorous internal review, and final approval is given by at least one of the Directors of the Institute, Professor Hélène Ruiz Fabri and/or Professor Burkhard Hess. The content is the responsibility of individual authors. Papers may be downloaded by individuals, for their own use, subject to the ordinary copyright rules.
