Innovating International Business Courts: a European Outlook

Seminars
10 July 2018

Under the ERC project 'Building EU Civil Justice', the Max Planck Institute for Procedural Law Luxembourg, the Erasmus School of Law (Erasmus University Rotterdam) and the Montaigne Centre for Rule of Law and Administration of Justice (Utrecht University) are jointly organizing a seminar on the Woudestein Campus of the Erasmus University Rotterdam, addressing the recent initiatives to establish International Business Courts in several Member States. The seminar will consider both existing and future models, such as the International Commercial Chamber within the Paris Court of appeal, the Netherlands Commercial Court (NCC), the Brussels International Business Court (BIBC) and the Frankfurt Initiative at the District Court of Frankfurt. Representatives from different Member States, practitioners and academics will discuss the initiatives, their possible impact and the challenges ahead.
