Judicial Dialogue. Private and Public European Law Perspectives
Conference organized in cooperation with Professor Séverine Menétrey (University of Luxembourg) on 26 and 27 September 2013
The joint workshop, organized by the Centre for European Law, the Working Group on European Private law of University of Luxembourg and the Max Planck Institute will provide with opportunities for discussion between academics and practitioners, especially judges coming from different national legal orders and different jurisdictions (Supreme Courts, European supranational Courts and so forth).
The research shall analyze the relevant jurisprudence, activity rapports and legislation in a comparative perspective, taking both substantive and procedural questions into consideration. The workshop shall move forward the boundaries between ‘public’ and ‘private’ law and shall investigate further different interactions between similar legal concepts. A special emphasis shall be thus put on the protection of fundamental rights that act as trans-disciplinary legal vehicles, especially in the area of economic law that is dealt with both in private and public law context.
The conference will take place on 26 and 27 September 2013.
