The workshop aims at raising critical awareness of current developments in EU procedural law by providing a closer insight into recent proceedings of the CJEU and selected national case-law.

First, it addresses the far-reaching implications of the rule of law crisis in the European legal order, triggered by the political developments in Central and Eastern Member States.

Second, it focuses on recent case-law involving fundamental issues of EU procedural law in civil and commercial matters.

  • Dr. Cristina Mariottini (Senior Research Fellow at the Max Planck Institute Luxembourg)

The event is co-organised by Prof. Burkhard Hess and Prof. Haimo Schack (Professor of Civil Law, Private International Law, Procedural Law and IP Law, University of Kiel) and will start at 17:15 in our main conference room on the 4th floor.
