In whose name? A public law theory of international adjudication

Workshops
09:15 / 30 April 2015

Professor Armin von Bogdandy (Max Planck Institute for Comparative Public Law and International Law, Heidelberg) and Dr. Ingo Venzke (University of Amsterdam)

This one-day workshop is intended to be a celebration and an examination of “In Whose Name? A Public Law Theory of International Adjudication”.

In this book, published in 2014, Armin von Bogdandy and Ingo Venzke investigate in whose name international courts speak when they render a decision. Participants to the workshop will engage critically with the authors’ response and arguments, with the hope to contribute to a better understanding of international adjudication as an exercise of public authority.
