Workshop for the preparation of the book International Investment Law – An Analysis of Major Decisions

The research project brings together around thirty international law experts from different perspectives, to combine conceptual analysis and historical investigation of investment-related case law and to provide the reader with a fresh understanding of the breadth of international investment law. The book aims at showing most notably (1) that international investment law has a longer history than that generally considered and that this history is fundamental to understand its development, (2) that international investment law is crafted today by a large number of actors. These include not only investment arbitrators but also a variety of international and national courts and tribunals.

The results of the project will be published by Hart Publishing in the collection by Studies in International Economic Law 2020.
