Carlos J. Bichet Nicoletti is a Research Fellow in the Department of International Law and Dispute Resolution.
He holds a degree in Law and Political Science from the University of Panama (with honours), an LLM in International Law and the Law of International Organisations, Human Rights Specialisation from the University of Groningen (cum laude), and an LLM in Constitutional Law from the Mendez Pelayo International University (UIMP) in Spain.
Carlos was a lecturer in International Law, Human Rights and Legal Theory at the Faculty of Law of the University of Panama, and a research and teaching assistant at Notre Dame Law School (USA). He is currently a doctoral candidate in international human rights law at the University of Notre Dame as a Fulbright-Laspau Scholar and was previously awarded Erasmus Mundus and ‘Fundación Carolina’ scholarships. His current research deals with the effect of restorative justice in international criminal procedure and he is also generally interested in legal theory, legal history, and critical studies.
