Mehdi Belkahla studied both foreign languages and law at the University of Strasbourg (France), where he completed in 2007 a Master’s Degree in French-English-Spanish translation (with honors) and a Master’s Degree in private and public international law (with honors) in 2012. Prior to joining the Institute as a Research Fellow, Mehdi first worked as a Research Assistant then as an Academic Associate at the International Institute of Human Rights (Institut René Cassin, Strasbourg). He is currently writing his Ph.D. on the concept of precedent in international law under the supervision of Professor Sébastien Touzé at the University Paris II Panthéon-Assas. Mehdi’s interests include any issues relating to general public international law and international legal theory.
