Pierre-Emmanuel obtained an L.L.M. in European Law from the Johannes Gutenberg University of Mainz in 2011. He then graduated from the Pantheon-Assas University of Paris in 2013 with a Master in European Law and has been writing a thesis under the supervision of Professors Anne Levade and Fabrice Picod at the Pantheon-Assas University of Paris since 2014. His project is entitled "The European Court of Justice as a Constitutional Court". In October 2017, he started his career at the Max Planck Institute in Luxembourg as a Research Fellow. Since September 2018, he is teaching Global Constitutional Law at SciencePo Paris.

His main areas of research are European Constitutional Law, Comparative Constitutional Review and Global Constitutionalism.
