The inauguration and Opening Ceremony of the Max Planck Institute Luxembourg took place on the 8th of May 2013 in the presence of the Grand Duke Henri, the Prime Minister of Luxembourg, Jean-Claude Juncker, the Minister for Higher Education and Research of Luxembourg, the German Ambassador, the State Secretary at the Federal Ministry of Education and Research of Germany, and the President of the Max Planck Society. The event was attended by more than 150 prominent persons coming from the European Court of Justice, the University of Luxembourg and the academia of different countries. For this special event, the Max Planck Institute Luxembourg Library organized a photo exhibition revealing different law libraries from around the world. Most of the colleague librarians accompanied the photos with a greeting or a wish. It has been an honor for our new Library to feel the powerful example of the well renowned libraries and to feel welcomed in the inspiring family of law libraries. We appreciate the support and want to thank all the libraries that have participated in this initiative!
