unalex is a legal information system on European and international uniform. unalex is a response to the fact that many important areas of law are increasingly international in scope. European private international law and civil procedure form the core of unalex. In addition, we are expanding into the CISG, an important area of international uniform law. All the materials are constantly being updated. Further areas of law will follow.
During the trial you have access to the following sections of unalex:
unalex Compendium is made up of overviews of headnotes organised by article. The Compendia provide an analysis of the unalex Case Collection by thematically structuring the headnotes on the cases.
unalex Case Collection is a specialised collection of the jurisprudence of the CJEU and the courts of the EU Member States as well as further Contracting States in the areas of law covered by unalex. The Case Collection has a simple citation system. It may be consulted systematically via the search function or by area via the Compendia.
unalex Legislative Texts offers the legislative texts required for working with the areas of law covered by the system in multiple languages and in a print-friendly format. In addition to texts currently in force, legislative texts no longer in force are provided, as they may be needed for understanding older judgments.
unalex Materials provides important supplementary texts related to the areas of law found in unalex, such as studies and reports. The materials are provided in a print-friendly pdf format. The focus of the unalex materials lies in the field of the Brussels I Regulation and its preceding and parallel legislation.
