Information services for legal research
The Virtual Law Library (Virtuelle Fachbibliothek Recht - ViFa Recht) is the central portal of the Specialised Information Service for International and Interdisciplinary Legal Research (Fachinformationsdienst für internationale und interdisziplinäre Rechtsforschung). All services provided shall give the users pooled references of quality-assured specialist information and easy access to research publications from the international legal scholarship.
The portal is providing following specialised tools for legal research:
- International Discovery Service is a discipline-specific search engine. It allows search queries in the comprehensive holdings of legal literature of the Berlin State Library Staatsbibliothek zu Berlin as well as for digital contents of a huge number of legally relevant databases, electronical journals, and open-access-repositories.
- "Law on the Web" provides free legal web resources, relevant for international and interdisciplinary legal research.
- „Open Access@Legal Studies” allows search in the legal contents of more than 300 institutional publication servers and disciplinary repositories from all over the world.
- <intR>²Dok is open-access repository for publications in the field of International and Interdisciplinary Legal Research.
- “Legal articles online” provides two different tools for the targeted search for articles in international law journals.
Virtuelle Fachbibliothek Recht is also included in the list of free accessible databases in our eResources portal.
