Björn Laukemann successfully completed his Habilitation

On 5 February 2020, Björn Laukemann, Senior Research Fellow at the Max Planck Institute Luxembourg, was bestowed the title of Privatdozent by the Faculty of Law of the University of Heidelberg. The Faculty of Law has approved Björn Laukemann’s Habilitation thesis and subsequently granted him the venia legendi for private law, civil procedure, private international law, and comparative law.

Björn Laukemann is the first researcher at the Max Planck Institute Luxembourg to reach this qualification level, which is the last step before qualifying for a professorship in Germany.
