On 29 and 30 September, the IMPRS-SDR held a meeting to welcome the new Ph.D. Candidates of the second working cycle. The 9 new Ph.D. Candidates come from 7 different countries: all selected in a thorough application process.
The Ph.D. candidates were welcomed by the speakers Professor Burkard Hess (MPI Luxembourg) and Professor Thomas Pfeiffer (Heidelberg University) and attending professors Gilles Cuniberti (University of Luxembourg), Werner Ebke (Heidelberg University), Matthew Happold (University of Luxembourg), Hélène Ruiz-Fabri (MPI Luxembourg) and Marta Requejo (MPI Luxembourg).
This event was the opportunity for the Ph.D. Candidates to introduce and discuss their research topics with the professors and their fellow Ph.D. candidates. The IMPRS-SDR is proud to be able to continue to offer a forum for young researchers from different countries and legal backgrounds to engage in cutting-edge research on pressing issues in international dispute settlement, and is looking forward to the meetings ahead.
