A meeting of the Working Group ELI/Unidroit took place at the Max Planck Institute

On 15 April 2015 members of the Working Group on “Lis Pendens and Res Judicata” – Prof. Frédérique Ferrand, Prof. Burkhard Hess, Prof. Marco de Cristofaro, Prof. Fernando Gascon, Prof. Neil Andrews, Prof. Jarkko Männistö (by videoconference) – met at the Max Planck Institute Luxembourg in order to discuss the notion and the boundaries of res judicata in civil and commercial matters. Guests and Research Fellows of the Institute took part in the discussion.

The Working Group has been set up in order to discuss prospects for European harmonisation in the field of res judicata.
It is composed of members from different countries, thus allowing for a wide range of insights from different traditions.
