The Library of the Max Planck Institute for International, European and Regulatory Procedural Law offers a highly specialized collection that encompasses all aspects of procedural law within the domains of public and private law, dispute resolution, judicial settlements, arbitration, adjudication, mediation, online dispute resolution and ADR, and other conflict-management processes (e.g. mass claims processing).

The above-mentioned fulfilment of procedural law centers on International and European Law, Law of the Sea, Environmental Law, climate change, Economic Law, financial markets, WTO, investment and investor-state relations, sovereign debt, competition law, internal market regulation, consumer rights, new technology, intellectual property, data protection, privacy, judicial cooperation, recognition of foreign judgements and other fields of private international law.

The classification system has been developed by a group of researchers of the Institute. The shelving of the open access collection is organized following the classification system arrangement.
