Randi Ayman

Dr Randi Ayman

Randi Ayman is a Senior Research Fellow in the Department of International Law and Dispute Resolution.

She obtained her Ph.D. from the University of Paris I Panthéon-Sorbonne for a thesis on the denunciation and renegotiation of treaties. Randi holds Master’s degrees in international law, a Maîtrise in international business law and Licence en Droit, from Paris I Panthéon-Sorbonne. She also holds a law degree from Cairo University. Before joining the Institute, Randi was Legal Counsel for nearly seven years at the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID), in Washington DC. Prior to that, Randi worked at the international arbitration practice of the law firms Shearman & Sterling LLP and Eversheds LLP, both in Paris, at Le Défenseur des droits in Paris, and at the United Nations World Tourism Organization in Madrid. Randi is admitted to the Cairo and Paris Bars (pending swearing-in in the Paris Bar). Randi’s research generally focuses on public international law, the law of treaties, international investment law, investor-State and State-to-State dispute settlement.
