Mykola Lazarenko is an Assistant Professor at the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, Institute of International Relations, Ukraine.

He is currently a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at KU Leuven, Belgium.

He teaches and researches in the areas of Civil Litigation, Comparative Civil Procedure, Settlement of Investment Disputes (ISDS), and Private International Law.

Mykola holds a Ph.D. in Law (Institute of International Relations, Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, 2019 ) and a Master of Laws degree (Faculty of Law, Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, 2014).

In 2018 Mykola was admitted to the bar. He is an attorney-at-law and a member of the Ukrainian National Bar Association.

His current research project focuses on strengthening the Rule of Law in Ukraine through a reform of the judicial process for litigating matters of collective interest.
