Edoardo Stoppioni is Professor of Public Law at the University of Strasbourg. He teaches and researches in the areas of public international law, human rights and critical theory of law.
He holds a dual degree in law (Universiy of Florence and Université Paris 1 Panthéon Sorbonne), a Master in International Economic Law and a PhD in International Law (Sorbonne Law School). He was post-doctoral fellow at Hitotsubashi University (Tokyo) and Senior Research Fellow at the Max Planck Institute for Procedural Law of Luxembourg.
He is also a member of the Commission consultative des droits de l’homme du Grand-Duché de Luxembourg. His current research topics include the use of the theories of emotions to study international (human rights) law as well as critical approaches to human rights.
