Professor Sarah Jospeh

Sarah Joseph is a Professor of Human Rights Law at Griffith University, Brisbane. Prior to the commencement of her Griffith position in 2020, she was Director of the Castan Centre for Human Rights Law at Monash University from 2005-2019. Her research ranges across the great breadth of human rights, including human rights issues arising from the COVID-19 pandemic, global economic actors and human rights, and the media and human rights. Currently, she is writing a monograph on sport and human rights. She is the main author of The International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights: Cases, Materials and Commentary (OUP, 3rd ed, 2013). She has taught human rights in Australia, Washington DC, Geneva, Amsterdam, Macau and Auckland.
