Cristina González Beilfuss is a Full Professor of Private international at the University of Barcelona (Spain). She has extensively published in the field and acts as an expert for the Hague Conference on Private international law in the field of international family agreements and parentage. She is an Associate Member of the International Academy of Comparative law and a member of the Organising Committee of the Commission on European Family law that drafts the European Principles on Family law.
From 2011 to 2017 she was seconded to the Spanish Judicial School and closely cooperated with the European Judicial Training Network (EJTN), where she coordinated all activities related to the training of European judges and prosecutors in the field of cooperation in civil matters. She also acted as a national contact point in the European Judicial network (EJN) and in Iberrred.
She is presently preparing a course for the Hague Academy of International law on the topic “Party autonomy in International Family law”.
