Harrison Mbori
Harrison Mbori is a Research Fellow at the Max Planck Institute Luxembourg for International, European and Regulatory Procedural Law, in the Department of International Law and Dispute Resolution.
He holds a bachelor of Laws degree (LLB) from the University of Nairobi (Kenya), a Masters (LLM) degree in International Law and Alternative Dispute Resolution from Loyola University Chicago School of Law (2015) and is currently a PhD candidate at Loyola University Chicago School of Law under the supervision of Prof James T. Gathii. His research focuses on the sub-regional courts and tribunals in Africa on economic, trade, commercial, and investment dispute settlement. He is also an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya. Before joining Max Planck Luxembourg, he worked as a lecturer at Strathmore Law School where he taught courses in Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) and International Trade Law and coached moot court teams.
His main research interests include International Economic Law, International Dispute Settlement (International Courts and Tribunals in Africa), and Third World Approaches to International Law (TWAIL).
