Luis A. López Zamora is a Research Fellow. Luis holds a Bachelor Law Degree and a Licentiate Degree in Law from the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Peru; a Human Rights law certificate from the University of Antwerp, Belgium (Sustainable Development and Global Justice - SUSTLAW Postgraduate Programme); an International Law certificate from the Organization of American States (OAS) (XLV International Law Course, Rio de Janeiro – Brazil) and an Environmental Law Diploma from the Lima Bar Association. Currently, he is a Doctoral Researcher at Christian Albrechts Universität zu Kiel. (Kiel – Germany). Before joining the Max Plank Institute Luxembourg, Luis worked as a legal analyst in an oil company, as an environmental law attorney in different law firms in Lima; as a researcher at the Instituto de Democracia y Derechos Humanos of the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Peru (PUCP); as a Teaching Adjunct at PUCP and as a legal advisor to the President of the National Council of the Magistry of Peru. He was a visiting researcher at the Walther-Schücking-Institut für Internationales Recht (Kiel – Germany) and a contributor to the Oxford Reports on International Law. He is currently a National Reporter for the Global Review of Constitutional Law (Clough Center for the Study of Constitutional Democracy – Boston College) and a Country Reporter for the Yearbook of International Environmental Law (Oxford University Press). His research interests include issues involving the general theory of International Law, Human Rights Law and International Environmental Law.
